The short answer

A kitchen deep clean is priced by the size of the kitchen and how much grease has built up, and the ranges are below. Two things are usually quoted separately: the chimney unit, and heavy floor scrubbing. Agree the checklist item by item rather than the label — the inside of cabinets and the ceiling above the hob are what a surface clean leaves out.

Jump to

A kitchen is the hardest room in an Indian home to clean, and the reason is cooking oil. Grease does not sit on a surface the way dust does — it forms a film, collects dust into that film, and then bakes on. A year of daily tadka puts a layer on the tiles, the shutters, the ceiling above the hob and the inside of the chimney that ordinary wiping will not lift.

That is what you are actually paying for when you book a kitchen deep clean: degreasing, done properly, in the places you cannot reach.

A note on these numbers. XpertWorker is a marketplace, not a service company. We do not set any professional's price and we never charge you a paisa. Every figure below is an indicative market range collected from what independent professionals in Delhi NCR generally charge — a guide to help you judge a quote, not a quote itself.

Kitchen cleaning rates — Delhi NCR, 2026

What should actually be on the checklist

“Kitchen deep cleaning” means very different things to different providers, so agree the list rather than the label. A genuine deep clean covers:

  • Cabinet shutters — both faces. The outside is what you see; the top edge and the inside of the shutter is where the grease film actually lives.
  • Inside the cabinets, emptied by you beforehand. If they are not emptied, they do not get done.
  • Tiles and the backsplash, degreased rather than wiped — particularly the run behind and above the hob.
  • The ceiling and the wall above the hob. Skipped constantly. It is where the vapour goes.
  • Hob, burners and drip trays, dismantled where they come apart.
  • Sink, drain mouth and the tap area, including the limescale that Delhi water leaves on chrome.
  • The gap beside and behind the fridge — one of the dirtiest spots in any flat and a favourite cockroach run.
  • Floor scrubbing, including under whatever can be moved.
Watch out ask specifically whether the inside of cabinets and the ceiling above the hob are included. A quote that covers neither is a surface clean priced as a deep one.

Why the chimney is quoted separately

Because it is a different job. Washing the baffle filters is routine maintenance you can do yourself in a sink of hot water. A chimney deep clean means opening the unit, degreasing the oil collector, the fan blades and the inner housing, and that takes a technician and time.

Two things worth knowing before you book:

  • A cleaner and a chimney technician are not the same person. Many home-cleaning teams will wash the filters and decline the unit, which is honest and correct. If the suction has genuinely dropped, book the chimney job specifically.
  • Charcoal filters are replaced, not washed. If yours is a recirculating chimney, cleaning the charcoal filter achieves nothing — it has a life and then it is done.

Our chimney cleaning guide covers that job on its own, and our chimney care tips cover the monthly habit that keeps the deep clean rare.

When to book it, and when the whole-home clean is cheaper

  • Once or twice a year suits most Delhi kitchens with daily cooking. More often if you fry a lot; less if the kitchen is lightly used.
  • Booking the kitchen alone is the expensive way if the rest of the flat is also due. A full 2BHK deep clean covers the kitchen inside it, and works out lower per room than booking rooms one at a time. Do the arithmetic before assuming the small job is the cheap one.
  • Before Diwali is the worst time to leave it late. The festive fortnight is the busiest window of the year for cleaning teams in Delhi. See our pre-Diwali cleaning tips for the order to book things in.
  • Empty the cabinets the night before. A team that has to unpack your kitchen is a team not cleaning it, and most will simply skip what is full.
  • Pair it with a pest treatment if you have seen cockroaches — a degreased kitchen is a far more effective place to treat, because the residue that feeds them is gone. Our cockroach control guide covers the order to do the two jobs in.

Frequently asked questions

How much does kitchen deep cleaning cost in Delhi?
The indicative 2026 Delhi NCR market range for a kitchen deep clean is ₹800–2,000, depending on the size of the kitchen, how much grease has built up and whether the cabinets are emptied ready. A chimney deep clean is quoted separately at ₹500–1,200, and heavy floor scrubbing is ₹3–10 per sq ft. These are indicative market ranges, not XpertWorker prices — each independent professional sets their own charge and quotes you free before starting.
What is included in a kitchen deep cleaning service?
A genuine deep clean covers cabinet shutters inside and out, the insides of emptied cabinets, degreasing of tiles and the backsplash, the ceiling and wall above the hob, the hob and burners dismantled where possible, the sink and tap area including limescale, the gap behind the fridge, and floor scrubbing. Agree that list explicitly rather than accepting the label — the inside of cabinets and the ceiling above the hob are the two items most often left out of a quote that still calls itself a deep clean.
Is the chimney included in a kitchen deep clean?
Usually not, and you should assume it is not unless it is written down. Washing the baffle filters is often included; opening the unit to degrease the oil collector, fan blades and inner housing is a separate technician job priced at ₹500–1,200. Many cleaning teams will do the filters and correctly decline the unit itself. If your chimney has lost suction, book the chimney job specifically rather than expecting the cleaners to solve it.
How often should a kitchen be deep cleaned in Delhi?
Once or twice a year suits most Delhi kitchens with daily Indian cooking. Frying and heavy tadka shorten that; a lightly used kitchen stretches it. The filters are the part that needs attention far more often — every three to four weeks with daily cooking — and staying on top of those is what keeps the deep clean an annual job rather than a rescue.
Is it cheaper to book kitchen cleaning alone or a full home deep clean?
If the rest of the flat is also due, the full home clean is usually better value, because a 2BHK deep clean at ₹2,500–4,500 includes the kitchen and works out lower per room than booking rooms individually. Booking the kitchen on its own makes sense when it is genuinely the only room that needs it. Do the arithmetic rather than assuming the smaller job is the cheaper one.
Does XpertWorker do the cleaning or set the price?
Neither. XpertWorker is a marketplace that connects you with independent local cleaning professionals. We do not set their prices, we are not their employer, and we never charge you anything. The professional quotes you directly and free before any work begins, and you pay them directly.
